Day 101 - Lazy Sunday, and first fall

We slept poorly, and so slept late.

I made both of us coffee.

I never liked it when disabled people tell about their challenges in day to day life. Real people build cities, and create new drugs, fly airplanes, and I get pride from conquering making coffee. It sort of feels pathetic to me.

We both had a lazy Sunday. I sat in the garden and read my book.

Lots of phantom pain. Most of the day. I couldn't even nap.

The router quit, and when I leaned over to check it, my new chair scooted out from under me. I fell backwards. I got such a fright. Fortunately I landed on my head instead of my stump, so nothing important got hurt. We got a real wake up call.
Now we think a larger chair with wider spaced wheels would be better. I still like the freedom the wheeled chair gives me.

My fantasy football team will be a close game this week.

I hope I can sleep well

phantom limb pain of increasing
severity to be associated with locally recurrent extremity sarcoma in two patients, In both patients
increasing phantom limb pain was the first indication of recurrent cancer and led to radiologic studies
and biopsy which confirmed the diagnosis of recurrent disease. It is suggested that phantom limb pain
of progressive increasing severity may be a symptom of locally recurrent cancer in an amputation stump.
